Why Earthwon

In light of the success Computronix clients have enjoyed in using POSSE for environmental protection regulatory purposes, along with a commitment to the environmental protection sector, Computronix created Earthwon. The aim of Earthwon is to provide enterprise environmental software for environmental agencies and serve environmental clients.

Earthwon is considered Modifiable-Off-The-Shelf (MOTS) software. Earthwon is configured, not developed, to client specifications without modifying underlying source code. All clients use the same product – there are no product departures. This allows for implementation efficiencies, flexibility and real-time capabilities. In fact, a client’s configurations (workflow processes, etc.) sit on top of the underlying product as metadata. Product enhancements do not affect client implementations but rather provide additional functionality leaving all configurations untouched.

Flexible and powerful

Because it is highly adaptable and flexible, Earthwon is able to accommodate enterprise-wide level business and functional needs allowing for business transformation and growth within your organization. Earthwon’s fundamental strength is in managing a wide assortment of environmental regulatory activities, such as permitting and licensing, managing the lifecycle of these activities and required data, such as renewals, inspections, etc.

The flexibility and growth potential of Earthwon results in a much longer system life and a reduced total cost of ownership providing a strong return on investment. Earthwon implementations often begin with a specific business need, often with a critical “pain” area. Once the initial project win has been established, business process improvement continues along with implementing new business areas that offer a revenue upside. This is then followed by incremental growth into other business areas.

We help you implement your system

Earthwon can be implemented in a turn-key approach or clients can be trained to build workflows and manage their own configuration and production environment. Alternately, a hybrid approach can be used where Computronix completes the first phase of the project and simultaneously trains client staff. If desired, Computronix implementation and Education Services staff will work with, train and mentor client staff (most often IT, business users and SMEs) to become configuration experts, building your business processes in Earthwon.
